GOLD Ribbon Review for 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

The Cabernet Sauvignon is back! After some time developing in the bottle we have released our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon and it has already received a Gold Ribbon review from Huon Hooke at the Real Review; just in time for International Cabernet Sauvignon Day on 2nd September. We are looking forward to tasting this wine at the cellar door with you again one day soon.

Here is what Huon had to say: ‘Deep, bright, youthful red/purple colour. Bright blackcurrant and mixed-berry aromas, blueberry included, the palate tight and firm, upright and elegantly structured. There is serious grip here: it needs protein-rich food. A serious cool-climate cabernet indeed, with more weight and power than usual from this producer.’

5 stars, 95 points and Gold Ribbon awarded.

Winestate Magazine also agreed, awarding 4 stars (94 points) in their July/August 2021 edition.  This is what they had to say: ‘A fragrant lifted cassis bouquet with a long lingering and elegant palette exhibiting very stylish flavours’ Sound pretty good to us!
